Housed in an early 20th century Moorish-style villa overlooking Lac de Genève, le Palais Oriental serves authentic and tasty dishes from Morocco, Lebanon and Iran. It is possible to dine here three days in a row while focusing on a different cuisine each meal. It offers a very pleasant and original ambiance.

    Molino: Award winning pizza's

by EspritMontagne Updated Apr 4, 2011

    Terrace of Molino

Restaurant Molino is one of the few restaurants that is located on the boulevard. They have a huge menu to choose from, but nonetheless the quality's always good and stable. It's a typical Italian restaurant, so they serve a.o. pastas, pizzas, gnochi, risotto and very nice house wines.

Their pizzas have won internation awards... and you know why, when you've been there.

P.S. If you want to have a late lunch, please beware that they only serve pasta and pizza after 2.00 pm. No salads or other dishes.

Favorite Dish: My alltime favorite is the pizza Sofia Loren and pizza Miss Italia.
As a starter... I'd recommend the crostini's with garlic and tomato.

This is without a doubt the regions most up and coming talents.

Philippe Landry seems to be driven by a unquenched search for perfection. To the humble food lover there can be no mistaking that the homely service and warm and inviting dining environment is exactly what his Michelin counterparts are missing. To the connoisseur, a finley engineered adventure for your taste buds that will not be soon forgotten.

Each meal is crafted with the precision and unsurpassed attention to detail. The Service is extremely warm and friendly. On any given evening Locals of Chernex will be found enjoying the atmosphere and will only be to happy to laud their local gastronomic hero.

Philippe and Claudia make an extra special effort to ensure that your experience is genuine. They are natural hosts, with a penchant for genuine European hospitality. By the end of your meal, you will feel as if your dining with long lost friends.

    This gem comes highly recommended.

La Brasserie du Palace: One of our best meals, ever

by SurfaceTravel Written Feb 5, 2010

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

I'm sorry, but I can't remember what we ate there. I do remember, however, that this was one of the great suppers of our lives and that we enjoyed every minute of it. The service was excellent, the waiters able to read your mind and supply you with your needs practically before you have time to twitch your finger. We had a five course meal and some quite decent wine. It was expensive but, in our opinion, worth it. All the while, you have the view of the mountains across the lake.

Their web site says the dress code is casual, but I would volunteer that it's smart casual.

Restaurant La Rouvenaz: Exquisite Italian dishes

by EspritMontagne Written Jun 22, 2009

Not on the boulevard, but nonetheless worthwhile going. You will find this Italian restaurant across the mainstreet, Rue du Marché 1. La Rouvenaz is famous for it's delicate Italian dishes.

Favorite Dish: I'm fond of small dishes, so what I usually order is a selection of small Italian starters.

Confiserie Zurcher: Confiserie Zurcher - cafe and cake shop

    Lunch at Confiserie Zurcher

After a visit to Chateau de Chillon we headed into Montreux for some lunch. One of the first places we came across was Confiserie Zurcher and as it looked popular we thought we would join the bandwagon.

We first sat at a table right in the front section but soon found out, as we tried to order our meal, that these tables were for coffee/cakes only, so we had to move a little further inside. If only we had know at that time that if we had of moved even further inside, to the rear of the café, we would have found the restaurant area and the lovely lake views.

Favorite Dish: Chris and I ordered the dish of the day, which was some sort of fish with roasted vegetables. Very tasty. Alex opted for an omelette which was served with chips. Service was friendly and food enjoyable. Shame we were too full to sample some of the tasty looking cakes in the shop section.

Restaurant at the Casino: Best restaurant in town!

by AnnemarieC Written May 10, 2006

Eat here if you get the chance! The food is fabulous and you can't beat sitting on a terrace outside the casino at sunset with a large, cold glass of white wine in your hand. Very expensive, but worth every penny.
