I was told repeatedly not to miss the Saturday market. I could hardly miss the Saturday market since, with the Marche full of carnival, the vendors set up their booths in the old streets of Vevey.... at 6:00 in the morning, right under my window! The market was indeed worth seeing. I'm a huge fan of produce but I saw things I couldn't identify. Also there were flowers galore and wonderful pots filled with herb gardens, cheese vendors, sausage and weird meat vendors and some bakery items that would have to be categorized as art!
Vevey also has wonderful antique stores. I saw so many things I would have liked to acquire and for such reasonable prices but couldn't fit them in my suitcase!
