The Matterhorn Terminal Taeschoffers covered parkingspaces for 2100 carsnext to the train-station !There is a giant, covered carpark for 2100 cars in Taesch, reservations are not necessary there and it is open all year long, 24 hours a day.So you just drive there,park your car, pay the parking-fee and take the train to Zermatt.Cars with a hight of more than 2,30 meters cannot enter this carpark !For them there are parking-spaces in the streets and at the campingsites ! These are the most important fees :2 hours = 4,-4 hours = 7,-8 hours = 12,-a dayticket is 13,50 sfrand from 8 days each day is 12,50 sfr per day.
By train to Zermatt & to the Gornergrat

Zermatt is Carfreeso the train is a Must !It might make sense to leave your car in a place like Brig and take the train in order to get to Zermatt, but even when you go to the end of this valley by car, you have to leave your car in Taesch, in a distance of 5 km from Zermatt.Taesch is the last but one station of Matterhorn - Gotthardbahn, before you will get to Zermatt. This cogwheel-train is a seperate train-system leaving from Brig, in front of the main trainstation. There are a lot of extra-trains going to and fro between Taesch and Zermatt, in addition to the regular trains to Brig.
