Favorite thing: It's a classical in switzerland (almost in 'Ticino' canton) finding bars with blackboard posters.
In Chiasso the more frequent notices refer to the 'historiacal' products for Italians or transit persons: choccolate, cigarettes, coffeee and spicy soup dices.

Favorite thing: Switzerland is famous also for clocks and watches.
Some year ago, in Chiasso there were hundreds of watches shops, very cheap respect to italian ones. Today many of them have been closed, but there are still many, but not so cheap.

Favorite thing: It's probably a Swiss trend, but in Chiasso there are many walls decorations: murales, mosaics... and whatever you can imagine on a wall! Remember: look the walls!

Favorite thing: In Chiasso, as in every Swiss city, there are many banks...hundreds of banks!
You won't have any problem to find a bancomat to withdraw some cash.

Favorite thing: As you cross the border and enter in Chiasso, you find many many many change office and tobacco shops.
Pay attention cigarettes are more expensive in Switzerland than in Italy!
