The Lugano Casino is bound to change the lifestyle of the inhabitants and the visitors of the city. Born with the declared and very ambitious aim of becoming one of the four best casinos in the whole of Europe and the first one South of the Alps, it obtained one of the 7 type A concessions for operating an all games casino, for an unlimited number of tables and slot machines. With a panoramic restaurant, five bars and the possibility of organizing banquets with a fantastic view of the lake, it’s much more than a casino. It’s a modern, sophisticated place not only created for gambling but for passing a pleasant evening with quality entertainment.
No town is without its parking problems and Lugano is surely no exception. To make up for this urban difficulty and to offer visitors an extra service, the Lugano Casinò has created the new “valet parking service”. The idea is both original and innovative; the casino has stipulated an agreement with two different city parking facilities that can be easily reached. Also because it won’t be the guests who will have to park their car. Upon arrival at the entrance of the Casinò, there will be about thirty young “drivers” in uniform and easy to recognize, who will take care of one’s car, parking it in one of the reserved and protected car parks. When the guest will have decided, probably reluctantly, to leave the comfortable halls on the lakeshore, all he’ll have to do is turn to the “valet parking” service to have his car returned in less than no time.

A little outside Lugano, Irish Club Aplino offers a familiar place where to have a drink or two with your friends.
In some nights even live music with fantastic bands.
A special place for bikers (specially KTM owners), but not just.

written from a luganese girl. They are various clubs in lugano , the best one , with the best people and the nicest atmosphere is the villa sassa- casablanca club. It also happens to be the one with most rich teenagers .. the other cioce is the club one , which is pretty much the same. the privilege club is the one with the crappy people but nice music. The vanilla club is not in lugano , but 30 min away . It has usually big artists ( bob sinclair , tom novy , ecc.) , and is worth the trip.
To eat out at night the best place is the argentino for a quick pizza, or the etnic for mexican/etnic food.

Since one year the casinos in Switzerland are allowed to offer full games (before it was only limited). Lugano had the chance to receive one of the 10 concessions to build a casino. The building with its lightplays inside and outside is well worth a visit, especially during nighttime.

Lugano's not heaven for nightlife - but there are anyway a few good places. Most nightlife happens in Quartiere Maghetti. One of the popular places is called "etnic" - a bar with a bamboo decor, loud latin music and delicious cocktails. it also serves truly disgusting food. It's closed on Sunday

This is one of my favourite bars to go to. it's quite tiny and the air is often unbreathable, but the corwd's nice and the cocktails good. It's also one of the few places playing rock music in the background, rather than more modern music (or is it noise?).

Although Lugano is a verging on a city by Swiss standards, it is a small town in anyone else's books, and doesn't offer a huge selection of night life. My recommendations are to pick on of the several small bars and cafes lining the streets and relax. We went to two clubs, Square and Desperado's. Neither were particularly great, though saying that they weren't absolutely dire either (apart from the prices of drinks)!
If you want night life go there for Estival Jazz, see it's own spot.

Lugano doesn't offer much of a nightlife. If you are looking for a place to dance, listen to music or just have a drink and chat, no problem, but if you want more you'r better off going to Milan, just 1 hours drive away.
My favored place is the Mango Club, with its hot latin beat, tropical drinks and a great atmosphere.
