There is a communal harbor with a yacht club and a restaurant near the Lido. You approach it from Via Foce. If walking from the center you first cross the Parco Civico and the little river Cassarate.

This popular fountain is located on Piazza Manzoni. There are a few benches to sit down and enjoy the view or have a snack. A public toilet is located in the underpass to the lake.

Most of our time was spent on the lake enjoying the views of Monte San Salvatore and visiting the exquisite fishing village of Gandria - an artist's gem - clinging to the lake shore.

Visit Herman Hesse museum in Montagnola.
I have understood for the first time that a major part of Herman Hesse's masterpieces were about this quiet and divine place.
