There are many buses service from Interlaken Ols and West to Istltwald. The bus I took is from Interlaken Ols. After midday, you have to wait one hour if you miss the previous one and there is no bus service after 8pm. So, check timetable before you go. The trip is about 20 mins.

Car - There is a ring road around the lake, mostly 2 lanes.
Bicycle: - Would liked to have bicycled the perimeter of Lake Brienz, but too much rain prevented me from doing so.
Steamers - On Lake Brienz steamers start and finish in Interlaken by the train station (Interlaken Ost). A round trip around the lake takes approximately 2 hours. Iseltwald is not a major town so not every ferry makes a stop here. Refer to the schedules that can be picked up at any of the stops. Steamers do not run as frequent during winter months.
Walk - Can walk if you're not staying too far away. We lodged in neighboring Bonigen so this was an option for us. Also, there are hiking trails everywhere in the Bernese Oberland with well marked signs and approximate durations.
