Aarau is very easily accessible by train from all over Switzerland.
Since Aarau is located on the Zurich-Olten-Bern line it enjoys many good connections to all four directions of the compass.

It is really to travel around in Switzerland by train. There are many trains going to othere cities. Some are direct trains, others you have to change trains.If you know a Swiss citizen (a friend, penpal, etc) and you are staying with this person, you can get a cheaper ticket. Otherwise you have to pay the full price.
In the Swiss train you can take your bike as well. You can 'hang' them at certain parts of the train (see one of the pictures with this tip).
