On a trip I usually go and check out the local cemetary.
I don't know why. It is just some sort of urge and curiousity which leads me.
Here is Brugg's nice and rather hidden last resting yard.
Notice the tomb stones are flat on the ground and not standing up-right! Unusual!

I suggest you take a walk along the river Aare.
Start for instance your digestive tour from one of the bridges north of the city centre and walk on.
Have a look at the lively flora and fauna and certainly at the nice architecture like the shown bridge. On top the trains from Bâle arrive to Brugg and underneath pedestrians may cross the river.

This is one of my favourites. It doesn't matter what time of year you look at her - I prefer seeing her as a she - she is never the same. Constantly changing her forms, colour and mood...
She can be really moody too. At times she gently flows in her nice bed, but sometimes she tries to break out from her restraining boundaries and wants to free herself. On other occasions she is as you weren't there, wouldn't notice, on the other hand when she's had enough she does anything to get you attention - roars, tears down little brickwalls, molestes trees and bushes...
This is my Aare as I remember her from the times in Brugg, where I used to live.
