Most swiss [people will have a post box at the post station in the centre of their own..but I liked this one we saw as we walked up to the alpine garden above Adelboden - a swiss cow mailbox! So typically Swiss!

Our 5 day stay in Adelboden co-coincided well with a village festival on the Friday. Simply a fun time for adults and children alike as roads were closed off to traffic, children could play games and there was food galore with bratwurst, pasta and raclette (molten cheese slapped on bread) were the order of the day. We had a grandstand view from our hotel balcony which overlooked the square but we did mingle and joined the fun in the crowds too.

Just back from 10 days in Adelboden. The town/village is pretty small, with a small supermarket, a few bars, several coffee shops/chocolatiers, and loads of expensive outdoor clothes shops.

i have been to switzerland three times now and still love it. everytime i have went i have stayed in adelboden . i think the region is beautiful and would recomment it to everybody there is a bus...
