Kramgasse branch by hojasdehierba We bought at Tschirren the best chocolates we had in Switzerland. And all of them were great… But the ones we had there were so special, that we even came back later in the afternoon to do a further purchase. En Tschirren compramos los mejores bombones que tomamos en Suiza. Y todos eran riquisimos… Pero los que compramos aqui eran tan especiales que incluso volvimos por la tarde para comprar mas. .
Try the Jungfrau type. I liked very much also the ones which had grinded tea on the top: a very subtle taste which made a difference. We were at the one located at Kramgasse, but they have another branch in the Bahnhof.
Well, it is chocolate... It will depend upon how many of them you buy Theme: Food and DrinkAddress: Kramgasse, at the arcades

Front view of the "new" station by mabu In Bern's railway station you will find lots of different shops and all of them are open every day and from 08.00h to 22.00h at least. you can find a big migros-supermarket to get all kind of food, a shoe shop, a beer and wine shop, a butcher, 2 bakery's, lots of sandwich places, a cd-shop, a parfume shop, dry cleaners and many more. Just don't want to go to the Migros for a quick shopping in the evening after 18.30 or on saturdays after 17.00. Thats the normal closing time of the shops, and obviously everybody didn't have enough time to shop and goes then.
Whatever you need.
Mostly the prices are the same as in the other shops outside the station specialy in the Migros and Coop. "Aperto" and "Kiosk" are more expensive Leave a Comment

Loeb's by mabu Loeb is one of Berne's traditional Departement store. And in Switzerland its the smallest Store-Chain. The Firm Loeb is owned mostly by the Family Loeb and by the public through issuing "Partizipations-Scheine" a sort of shares. The Shop offers a wide range of goods from clothes, shoes, toys to food. The quality is generaly good, and the customer service is excellent! A musst see are the shops windows, probably the most original decorated of the town. The location of the shop is probably the best in town, next to the Railway station and to the main Tram/Bus station. Loeb is known as the meeting point, so if anybody suggests meeting at the "Loeb-Egge" they mean the Corner where the main enterance to the shop is.

OK, I'm not the one that should give any shopping tips, other then maybe electronic ones, but Sue took a couple of these pictures and I thought they would give anyone who looks at these a small insight into some of the fashion wear here in Switzerland. I'm sure after viewing these 2 pictures that you had no idea this was standard dress in Switzerland. You probably thought hiking boots, those German shorts and the suspenders to hold them up. Or at the very least you envisioned Heidi type dresses. But I'm hear to tell you forget those images, this is the NEW SWITZERLAND!!! Alright, maybe I'm exaggerating just a bit, but we did see these in 2 different stores on Kramgasse in old town Bern and they did have a price tag on them, so somebody has to buy these right? by Rhondaj Be careful! My husband is a 'i'll wait outside' person. Many of these stores have a basement floor. After my daughter and I shopped we left by a basement door--coming up and out of one of the cellar doors--felt strange!--and we were in a completely different part of the street. Took some hunting, but we found the husband eventually...
We do have the Espirit clothing brand in the USA, but not their second line, the EDC clothing. So we always make a point to look for it. Leave a Comment Theme: Women's ClothesAddress: 55 Marktgasse

One of the main Shopping streets: Spitalgasse by mabu The shpooing Mile . The main shopping streets are Spitalgasse and Marktgasse, starting at the Station and ending at the Zytglogge. From these two streets you can go in to the side streets where you can find lot's of smaller stores. Lot's of little shops, boutiques and art galleries can be found in the Altstadt the old part of the town, thats down Gerechtigkeitsgasse (from Zytglogge towards the Aare) and its side streets. . The best about Shopping in Berne: if it rains you don't get wet because of the covered walkways on both sides of the streets. Leave a Comment Theme: Other

by nessie-ch Switzerland is famous for its chocolate. Where to buy? You'll find all the well known fabricates as 'Lindt' and 'Cailler' in the EPA store, which is in Marktgasse, left hand sided if you look from the station to the bearpit. You'll find as well at Merkur which is situated directly near the Zytglogge tower, but in EPA the same product costs you lesser. Leave a Comment Theme: Food and Drink
