Not to be confused with the legendary Mad Club in Lausanne, this rather unspectacular establishment features a bar and a very small dancing area. It's whole success only comes from the "Füfliber-Partys" every Thursday. On these occasions admission and all drinks cost five swiss francs (about 3.50 euros). That's why you'll always find it packed on Thursday nights, from the moment it opens. Nonetheless you might very easily be disappointed, the music can be awful at times and seems to remain unchanged since a couple of years.
To sum things up: A Thursday night at Mad Nidau is cheap fun with cheap drinks, but sadly also with cheap music and atmosphere...

Thirty years ago the ex-gas reactor in the heart of Biel was taken over by the centre for independent youth. It was transformed into a cultural meeting point for all types of activities. There are concerts and nights out to various kinds of music: Urban, Funk, Electronic, Punk&Rock etc.
Admission is never more than 15.-
