Tea Room Ringgenberg is a small restaurant that is included in a bakery and because it it convenientely located on the Mainstreet , not for from the station, I had dinner there and tried "Rosa's Special"
Take a look at their web-page, they even have a delivery-service for swiss specialities !
And as you may see on my picture, you first get a small place-mat with the great mountain-panorama on it, you may take it home as a souvenir !
Favorite Dish: "Rosa's Special is described at the menu as follows:
3 varieties of fresh and fragrant bread, served with selected Grindelwald mountain-cheese and with cured beef and pork meat.
And I had "Cafe Lutz" with it : thin coffee with brandy
Buendnerfleisch is the name of the cured beef
Hobelkaese is the thinly sliced mature cheese, that is served rolled.

What a delight to enjoy the view from the EigerNordwand restaurant. A good place to take a break and relax from your numerous dowhnill runs. The carte choice is large enough to find your meal at a reasonable price. The service was quick and efficient.
En guete - Bon appetit !

On the ground floor of the Eiger Hotel, you will find a restaurant which offer a large choice for every hunger in a chalet style. Some suggestions - Home made hashed browned potatoes with bacon (Hausgemachte Rösti mit Speck) - Cheese addict will reward by a fondue or raclette - Aelpler maccaroni with potatoes and bacon, cream sauce and apple puree or international food as burger's or burrito's...
Favorite Dish: The steaky menu... a tender160g steak cover by a tasty spinach blanket and delicious rösti mit speck.

A rustic A-framed house located on the main drag and Grindelwald's most visible and popular pizza place. Offers a wide selection of beer and wine and generous salads and homemade desserts.Very friendly and have a multilingual staff. Here we can order from one of the three pizza sizes either large, medium and small. In which the smallest is still plenty!
Favorite Dish: Onkel Tom's Pizza with tomatoes, cheese, pepperoni, and assorted

Tom's Cabin or something similar, on the main road in Gridelwald-about 5-10 min walk from the train station into town, up near the church.
Lovely little restaurant (book just in case)-we were recommended by a New Yorker who we chatted to on the way to the Jungfraugoch glaicer or whatever it's called. He said it was great pizza, so we thought we'd check it out-he wasn't wrong. Pizza is the only main course, and has to be the best I've had in a long time-bizarre to have in a Swiss Alpine town! All my friends were just as enthusiastic-we all love our food, and eat out a lot-this place is seriously good, and won't break the bank. Lovely dessert too, can't remember what we had, Italian version of heated flavoured cream-sorry, a bit vague i know, but take a punt and go here.
Also, a fantastic wine list-the owner is a wine nut apparently, and it shows-pages of choice!
Loveley atmosphere inside too-nice and cosy and welcoming. Best place we ate in Grindlewald by a LONG way.
Just checked, is in Fodors online
Favorite Dish: The pizza with anchovies! All the others were nice too-chefs special stood out as well (I tried a whole bunch from my friends pizzas!)

Close to the train station of Alpiglen on the way to Kleine Scheidegg there is a wonderful restaurant with a huge terrace overlooking the valley. They have many differnent cheese dishes on the menu, one really typical for the region is the "Käseschnitte". It´s a nice stop on your hike.
Favorite Dish: It´s a bread drenched in white wine, topped with tomatoes, ham, a lot of raclette cheese and egg on top if you like...We all had the small portion and nearly couldn´t finish it so just order the normal portion if you are really hungry and have seven stomachs.....
Also try the ice coffee here....

Inside the Hotel Eiger you find this always crowded restaurant. The staff is really friendly and the food is really good and tehy serve huge portions as well. The menu is very international, there are Burgers next to Enchilladas next to typical Swiss dishes like Raclette or Fondue. What I have seen on the tables all look pretty good....and you find something for everyone easily...
Favorite Dish: I had the "Horny chicken", three roasted chicken breasts on bread with kind of Tandoori spiced sauce, served with sliced "Eiger potatoes", fried in oil and garlic served with some fresh salat on the side. Yummy it was! My firend had the chinese style noodles with chicken, also very nice....

There are 2 main restaurants in the station of Jungfraujoch. One is with waiter-service and a bit more expensive, the other one is with self-service and about average prices. besides there are various small bars and coffee-bars with small snacks and coffee.
Favorite Dish: I had Spaghetti Bolognese, applecider (Suessmost), a coffee and a croissant for desert. On the total it was not bad at all and also not really overpriced, when you considder the special location and the logistic problems that a restaurant will face at such a location ! On a place like this you may have eigther thousands of tourists or almost nobody, it will totally depend on the weather and is hard to predict...

The pizzas here are honestly the best ever and not expensive at all. Those with a strong appetite can go for the 20" family size whilst those smaller can have the 10" mini - which is still pretty filling!
The toppings are delicious - raclette cheese, mozarella, broccoli, salami, ham, peppers, mushrooms...... and although the choice is from around 10 different types there is most definitely something for everyone. Unless you don't like pizza of course.
The pizzas are made and cooked right in front of you in a pizza oven in an open kitchen; the place is quite small so the kitchen is minute - all that is needed though. You can see the guy filiing up the pizza bases (and I mean 'fill' - these pizzas are loaded!) before your very eyes.
The price is pretty good too, about average really from about 17CHF per pizza. Oh, and they speak English in there - Im pretty sure it is owned by Aussies.
Favorite Dish: The Onkel Toms Special is a favourite, but I had Rustica last time and loved it.

What a great place to soak in the view, and the food was pretty good. My wife, Sue, in the white is patiently waiting for me to take the picture. :) Man I'm glad I got rid of that camera. That is a lousy picture and my wife would kill me if she saw it..

Grindelwald and the Jungfrau area was a premium destination for my opening ski season 2009/10. Sun, snow and an incredible alpine scenery were on rendez-vous. Skiing! What else? So let's surf!
