    I stayed at the Grand Hotel - Victoria-Jungfrau. An amazing hotel that will empty your wallet staying there. Every Room has a view of the mountains. As all tourist know, pictures NEVER do these types of pictures justice.

    The views 360 degrees, every angle.

    I was absolutely stunned by how friendly and helpful the people of Switzerland were. And the farther you get away from Geneva and Zurich, the friendlier they are. Getting into Interlaken, and more so to Gimmelwald, I was treated with so much courtesy and respect that I laughed more than a few times at just how accomodating these people are. Not once in my entire time there did a worker act even the slightest bit rude or unpleasant. Absolutely wonderful.

    If you do not try Swiss fondue, in all its glory, then you have missed out! I had part of three fondues... in one night!! We decided that fondue was going to be what we ate that night. So, we went to the restaurant across from Interlaken West (sorry, I cant remember the name), and soon discovered that there are varieties of fondue. Cheese, meat and, oh yeah, chocolate fondue! We got them all! We barely finshed the meat, all of the cheese, and there wasn't a lick of chocolate left.

    It is the biggest "Must Eat" in Switzerland.

    Take the cable-car route to SCHILTHORN: This is where you can get a bird's eye view of the entire mountain range, & you get to feel like on top of the world! It has a rotating restaurant at an altitude of 3,000 m which offers a spectacular 360° panoramic view over the Alps. From here, on a clear day you can see forever!

    The 30 minutes Schilthorn Cableway ride bypassing from Murren & Gimmelwald at 1400 m is so magnificent I'm loss for words...

    Getting around Interlaken, you will find the Trümmelbachfälle, reaching Lauterbrunnen. It is a weird waterfall because it does not flows out but inside the rocky mountain, forming gorgeous cascades. So, we had to get into the mountain through an elevator (and after paying CHF 10 for entrance) in order to admire the wise of nature.

    The mountain circle around Interlaken, as well as the blue sky of August.

    Finally we reached MANNLICHEN at 2230 m. A unique mountain, not snow-capped when I was there in Summer, it's a contrast from those of Jungfrau, Monch & Eiger.

    One can have real quiet moments on this mountain since most tourists will opt for the more popular 'Top of Europe'. Very nice :-))

    There's less than 10 of us here! Isn't it lovely to have to mountain to yourself?!

    A cute cow with a bell... ;) I was determined to get at least one photo of one of these cows, they were just sooo cute... :)

    I am still not sure why all the cows over there have bells though, I was told several stories but I'm not sure which to believe...

    The water of the river that flows through Interlaken was pure aqua in colour. See through and not a ripple to be seen. The ducks were having great fun in it, and provided much entertainment to us :)

    Somehow this Cow managed to scale the mountain. I took this picture on the train from Zurich to Interlaken. One of the highlights of the trip.

    The Mountains and the clear blue mountain water lakes.

    This Hotel must have chnaged it's name since 1996. It is the closest Hotel to Ost Interlaken train station.
