One of the favorites to visit, is the Hausberg of Interlaken . It has an altitude of 1322 meters and the scenic from the summit offers the best bird's-eye view of the Jungfrau region unfolding between the lakes of Thun and Brienz and the high peaks of Eiger, Moench und Jungfrau. An amazing area especially on good weathers. A 10-minute ride and voila you are on top.
At 1322 meters, this is a great vantage point to get a bird's eye view of Interlaken and the beautiful peaks of the Eiger, Moench and Jungfrau. From up here you can also see lakes Thun and Brienz.
You can hike to and around here, or cheat like we did and take the funicular. You'll also pass over a very small zoo, which we didn't stop by.
A walk up the Harder Kulm, very near to Interlaken is worth it for great views of the town and the Jungfrau, not to mention the great landscape on the way, as you walk through alpine fields and forests, there is plentiful wildlife to see up close, such as eagles.
There is a fenicular railway up to the summit also, but I recommend the walk, as you get much better views, such as the picture, which shows Interlaken from about half-way up.
Once your up on Harder Kulm, take time out for refreshments and enjoy the view! (The price of the beer was one of the cheapest we found on the trip.)
Near the funicular station of the Harder Kulm is a small wildlife park where you can see some of the mountain wildlife, like ibex and chamois.
