Favorite thing: There are paths all around the lake and some long hikes that begin at the lake. We chose a wooded path that circled the lake to the left (as you arrive). Good choice. This was the path that led us to the cows, fisherman, and then eventually this waterfall. You cannot see this waterfall when you arrive at the lake. It came to us as a surprise, as the lake has secret corners!
Getting to the waterfall was a bit tricky. It was rocky, a little steep in some parts, and a bit slippery. Worth the effort though.

Favorite thing: This was our first excursion of our trip and we were awed by the beauty of the lake and surrounding mountains.
We went up early, getting to the chairlift at the bottom at about 8:30 in the morning. We were the only ones there.
When we got to the lake, it was us, less than a handful of other sight-seer's and another handful of fishermen. Very peaceful. BUT, as we walked back a few hours later, we passed hordes and hordes of people heading towards the lake! When we got to the bottom of the chairlift, the line was long and winding waiting to go up. So heed this advice-GO AS EARLY AS YOU CAN! Part of our wonderful experience was the peacefulness.
Fondest memory: We were charmed by the herd of cows grazing and tinkling their bells. They just walk right there among you, la de dah...
We even watched one go up to a fisherman on the shore of the lake and beg for a handout. (It got a pat on the head, but no food.)
