Chur Nightlife

Chur is famous for it's thousands of bars and restaurants.

The Welschdoerfli is a very new little bar and the only that opened with the concept of NO SMOKING. Soon all bars in the canton of Graubunden will have to prohibit smoking inside.
The atmosphere is very relaxed and the owner is a very interesting person and good to talk to.

Besides this bar there are so many more such as the Tom's Beer Box where u can have beers from all around the world or the Limon y Menta (just vis-a-vis from Tom's in the old city centre) a spanish bar where u can enjoy spanish/portuguese speaking movies every Tuesday at 20:30.

Felsenbar and Seelig are where everyone ends up at around 2am because all the other places have closed and in these too you can also dance some...when the music is good :)

Walk around the city and you'll find TONS of places to go out!

Dress Code: NO dress code...you go as u feel like going...

For beer amateur... you will have the choice among more 180 national and international beers... A good way to bring you back some souvenirs from your past travels... Small but good place to begin the night.

A Big place for a Big night... Always crowed of a good mix of insiders and outsiders... Service efficient you will never get run of fuel... Music depends on the DJ mood ;-)

A nice place to have a drink and discuss in a cosy athmosphere. Have a look to the fire place to discover the virtual flammes on a 16:9 screen... warm enough to choose among more than 200 cocktails the tasteful beverage to stay alive. Behind the bar admire the "alcool" wall with tons of bottles and you will be reward sometimes by the waitress who go up on a scale to serve you the finest drink of the region ;-) Viva!!!

It takes place on Sunday evening from
8.30 to 11.30 pm. That is there that I met the little tango community of Chur for the first time and what a welcome! With personnal new years greetings from the organizer Martin and a cup of champagne :-) The DJ was the best swiss DJ : Daniel! He played great music from the classical to the most exotic tangos. And sometimes he left his CD player to dance some great tangos, milongas and valses with me :-))))

Chur has not a lot of Tango dancers but the community is very sympathic! Their training evening is on Thursday night from 8.30pm. The room is large enough to make all the steps we want and there is also a small room to socialize... ( drink wine and eat chocolates all together!)
There, I had the occasion to lead and dance with Jacqueline, Lilo and Pina (on the picture) with whom I had a lot of fun!!!!!
