Lucerne Municipal Theatre by Fam_Stoica This theatre was built between 1838-183939 by the architect Louis Pfyffer von Wyher. After the fire of 1924, only the middle section of the Reuss facade of the original structure remained. The Lucerne Municipal Theatre offers a large variety of shows (drama, comedy, musical, ballet).

lucerne by night by call_me_rhia Lucerne is a wonderful city for strolling and wondering about, and the best time to do it is at night, when it's all lit up. You should walk the pedestrain area and then head down for the riverside: with the lights it feels like you've landed in a fairytale. A walk not to miss is across the chapel bridge: you'll often find several excellent street musicians performing there.
Anything - but possibly dressed Leave a Comment Theme: OtherDirections: all over the old town, and especially along the river

by Krystynn Night time entertainment here in Lucerne seems scarce as far as I know. Well, around the Lake Lucerne area at least! I know we spent quite a bit of time hanging loose at the hugely popular Mr Pickwick Pub in Hotel des Alpes - just across the lake from our hotel via the Wooden Bridge. It is often jammed-pack with locals and tourists alike. Oh, and the beer/ drinks here are very reasonably-priced. So, you'd still have some money left to spend on shopping. If you rather spend your evenings on traditional entertainment, you can sign up for excursions (through your hotel concierge) where you'd be awed with the yodelling, flag throwing and performances on the almighty alphorn. Alternatively, you can visit one of their many cabarets, nightclubs and discos (yes, they DO have discos here). My personal recommendation? Check out Mr Pickwick Pub at Hotel des Alpes.

by Bigs The pubs at the Reuss, especially when rowers are in town! The disco in the Flora Hotel is the place to dance through the night! Women don´t pay when they are joined by someone I think! Leave a Comment Theme: DancingDirections: Hotel Flora

There are several nice places there. Most of them are downtown and around the Pilatusstrasse... Leave a Comment Theme: Other

by rtschneider Go to one of the cheesy dinner shows they have for the tourists. They maybe a bit silly but they are fun and the food is good. They will have the yodlers and people playing the alpine horn. They all get into contume. Its not super expensive but its a fun night out. Only expect to see tourist though. by sabsi The best night in Lucerne takes place once a year - the After Regatta Party after the final day of the 'Rotsee' Regatta. Legendary!!! International!!! Ladies, be careful.... you won't stay alone for long ;)
Rowing jackets, sneakers, Shirts that show which national team you belong to ... (nothing in case of the Irish national team ;) Leave a Comment Theme: DancingDirections: It starts around 8 in the Pickwick Pub at the Reuss (just next to one end of the Kapellbrücke) and when the pub closes it continues in the disco 'Flora' on the other side of the river...

by samueller Lucerne offers a really great variety of bars (Borromini, Seebar at the KKL, Oops, Schwanen, Latino Bar, Movie, The Lounge, Nachbar, Bar 57, Jazzkantine), some good clubs (P1, Penthouse, Pravda) as well as the joint concert houses, bars (Schüür, Werkhof, boa, Sedel) These are some of the names you need to know, you'll find something for your taste, inform yourself over posters hanging in shops or at busstops, ask somebody in a bar.
You're pretty much free whatever you want to wear. To get into some of the clubs states above, you just need to have some kind of level dressing yourself (don't look slubbish, don't wear sneakers) Leave a Comment Theme: Live MusicOther Contact: The best way to find out what wo
