    The pittaria was rated Switzerland's best takeaway restaurant in 2004. You can get a variety of oriental food for takeaway. Or you may choose to sit down, have a cup of spiced tea and chat with Sami, the owner who's Palestinean. In either case you'll go back again...

    Kreuz: Where writers and filmmakers meet for organic food

    In the Kreuz you enjoy a creative, fresh, organic cusine. Menus are rarely a usual combination of ingredients and still you do not have to be too daring to try them. For sure there'll be something which suits your taste also. The interior is wooden and the restaurant is always pretty full with people who're not too introvert. Especially during the Solothurn film festival or literature days it can be very interesting to start chatting with your neighbours as this is a favourite meeting place for artsy people - writers or filmmakers or...

    Favorite Dish: Hard to tell as menus do not repeat too often. Dishes with goat cheese are usually really good. but other stuff too... You can be sure that everything that's served is freshly prepared and you'll know where it comes from.

    When walking in the center you may stop for a while and sit on the chair of some little cafe for a beer or two. When resting you may look people walking by from the church to the market place, or vice versa.
