Wallisellen Travel Guide

The Glattzentrum or simply Glatt is a big shopping mall with several floors. You will find a big supermarket (Migros) and various other shops and cafés. There is also ample parking space if you come by car.

The shopping center has been popular since it was built in the 70s. Even in my teenage days we sometimes went there to hang around. Hanging around is even more popular now by the young and the older. There is also a place to leave your kids.

Often they have some attraction/exhibition going on as well.

The opening times are:
Monday to Saturday from 9.00 till 20.00

The P1 Club is maybe the best disco of Dübendorf (a neighbourhood town of Wallisellen).

I assume the average age is around 27 years old. Admission: age of 21 years.

Tuesday & Wednesday: 21:00 - 02:00 h
Thursday: 22:00 - 04:00 h
Friday & Saturday: 22:00 - 05:00 h

Dress Code: Trendy - no ties required. No admission with shirts or sports shoes.

The town of Wallisellen can be reached in a few minutes by S-Bahn from Zurich.

But if you want to go to the shopping center Glatt, then the old way to go there by public transport is bus no. 94 from Zurich Oerlikon. With this bus you can use your city of Zurich (zone 10) ticket. With all other transportation you need an additional zone which is no. 21.

There is a brand new tram line no. 12 which runs from Bahnhof Stettbach to the airport via the Glatt shopping center. Other than that there are other buses from Glatt shopping center that go ie to Dietlikon (IKEA) etc.
