If you're starting to miss the english language and some good Commonwealth beer, head over to Oliver Twist in the Niederdorf. The servers there, regardless of what nationality they are, are obliged to speak only in english. Many a good time had there...including being forced to watch football (or soccer, however you want to look at it...) and my birthday (besides the beer-spilling...). Drinks are quite expensive...but get used to it, it's Switzerland.
Dress Code: Usually a football jersey!...no really, doesn't matter.
In the east side around the Neiderdorf area, there are many bars, restaurants, cafes, takeaways, cinemas and adult entertainment venues, some opening until 4-5am in the morning.
We went in a couple of bars but I cannot remember the names of them, well I could when I went in but not when I came out :-)
