by Gili_S Remember to shop, buy and pack some X-tra drinks and snacks for the train ride, just in case. Leave a Comment

Temperature and weather vary enormously therefore it is advisable to pack sensibly. One or two jumpers may still be required even in the summer months along with a comfortable pair of walking boots. This is especially true if you intend to explore the surrounding mountains around Zurich. Leave a Comment

Zurich is a very expensive city, esp. Bahnhofstrasse. If you plan extensive shopping, you rather bring a bunch of money or credit card! Leave a Comment

Zurich has a lot of Stairs, Escalotors and old streets. Therefore a luggage with wheels won't help much. Rather bring a big Backpack. That's much easier to go around. Leave a Comment

Travel with a hiking ruck sack if you can so that you don't have to wheel a case up high hills. Once you are aware that Zurich is full of steep hills, you'll see that it makes sense to pack lightly and carry most of the weight on your back.
In winter wear thermal under garments, it gets very chilly and snows at night. Forget high heeled shoes, it's just not the place for fancy footwear. Trekking shoes can be useful when you need to climb yet another hill. Also if it snoww, boots that keep out the frost and are waterproof are very useful.
There are so many pharmacies in Zurich that you could find anything you want, unless it's somethiing specific, in that case bring it with you.
A digital camera is a must for all the amazing views you will want to capture. Leave a Comment

by cosmopolit according to seasons in northern hemisphere, it's always handy to bring some raingear though you could, of course, obtain it here if need should arise. Cheap pocketsize umbrellas at department stores come for about 10 Euro.
Everything available.

by Volare In winter Zürich can reach -15 Celsius degrees easily, therefore warm clothing is advisable. Also in summer, as you may take some trips to the mountains where you can still face cold temperatures.

Depending on the season. Don't forget that we have our 4 seasons. Cold to very cold in winter and warm to hot in summer.
