Chinese Garden, Zürich

The chinese garden is a gift from Zurichs twin city Kunming and opened 1994. You can discover there a little bit of China in the middle of the city. The garden is open from March 25 to October 15. (Daily 1100 - 1900) There is an entrance fee of 4sFr (Adults)/ 1sFr (Children).

A great deal if walking along the lake is to pay a visit inside this garden. Located at the Baecker Park in Zurihorn. The entrance fee is only 4 CHF. Inside you'll find an oasis of calm with its beautifully planted flowerbeds. For me, this an alternative of spending time of relaxation in a unique style. An impressive garden which can be reached pleasantly from Bellevue. It was first opened in 1994 and represents as a gift to the people of Zurich from Kunming ,China.

This garden is a "Thankful Gift" from Kunming China for providing a modern technology to develop Kunming's drinking water supply and municipal sewage system.Opens from March til October from 11am-7pm.

The garden is a gift to the people of Zurich from Kunming - its twin city in China.

It is small and perhaps does not look much. However there is no need to pay for a tour - just find a friend who knows a bit about Chinese culture! I went with a Vietnamese friend who was able to translate the chinese inscriptions and provided me with a wealth of information on Kunming.

One of the best kept secrets of Zürich. All Swiss people I have met during my stay haven´t been there, what is a shame, cause it´s really beautiful inside! I have been there on a rainy day and we had the garden for us alone, what was wonderful!

Funny, just few weeks before my first visit to China I had a brief over a Chinese garden here in Zürich ;-)

This colourful garden is located in the centre of the Zurichhorn park. There are water features, pagodas and bridges. There is an entry fee but you can peek through the windows to see some of it.

One of the most beautiful think in Zurich is the Chinese Garden. It is a present that China people gave to Zurich's inhabitant for the help they have given in water problems.
