La Mazot is a restaurant on a ski slope above Les Diablarets. The restaurant is also in the middle of a farming area and is surrounded by cows. The good part about this is that Les Mazots makes fresh cheese daily.
After almost a week in Switzerland I still had not had any fondue. This was chance because it is one of the specialities at La Mazot. And it was worth the wait. The fondue was delicious. The only problem was the other guy in the hat did not want the fondue and ordered something different. So I ended up with an entire pot of cheese fondue settling in my stomach. But it was really a great meal and experience.
The lady in the picture with us was our waitress, the hostess of the evening and one of the owners of La Mazot.
This is one of the larger restaurants in Les Diablarets. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable. One thing I thought was a bit unusual is that they had horse on the menu. I hate to admit it but I was almost tempted to try it and then decided at the last minute not to. Here were are pictured with our waitress.
