Paragliding is quite a common sport in Muerren and best places to do so is flying from Schilthorn, Allmendhubel or Birg. You may book a flight in advance or in some cases I even met paragliders, who went up the Schilthorn and were waiting there for passengers for a tandem-flight.
The prices for such a tandem-flight are :
from Schilthorn : 270,- sfr / from Muerren : 160,- sfr
Equipment: You will not need to bring your own equipment - it will be provided by the companies :

This is a nice climbing garden above Mürren. It has 24 routes from levels 4- 6B.
It is located below the Schilthorn hut. First take the cable car to Birg station. Then walk through the Engetal (valley) to the old station of Engetal Skilift. Follow the path along the stream. It takes approximately 30 minutes.
Equipment: You have to bring your own gear or rent it in Mürren.
