Bliemlichäller is something between a bar and a disco right in the village's center. It's the only one that is crowded on weekends. That's the reason why I'm there too sometimes. But it's a really bad locations! It's dirty and the air is bad! Beer is terribly expensive for a small village (6.5 CHF) a small one. Las but not least are the waiters very unfriendly...
Unique Suggestions: just order one beer or you'll leave with an empty pocket. This is the only way the owners will realize that they've got to change something with their disco!
Fun Alternatives: Inferno - stylish disco but mostly empty
Regina Bar - Just in the opposite of Bliemlichäller, very sweet barwoman;-) at least this winter!

One last picture of me in the souvineer area. I had to include it. If you have followed the trip this far you will understand why I included it. The entire day at Schilthorn was a real fantasy come true. Great day. Lots of fun. And even if you are not a Bond fan the trip and the restaurant are still worth you time and effort to get there.

Here is a picture of me and Bond taken in the souvineer area below the restaurant. There is also a small theater in this section where you can watch a film on the making of the movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Its about thirty minutes long and takes place in one of the rooms used in filming the movie. There is no charge for the film.

I love this picture. Yes I know it was kind of a tourist trap. The James Bond Bar below the restaurant and all of the Bond souvineers are touristy. But I loved every moment of it. This picture is taken in one of the corners fo the bar area. We are right in the middle of the action.

This is a great place to visit, and my impression is that it must be also a great place to stay, if you want a quiet holiday, surrounded by impossibly beautiful landscapes.
