A former Chef at the British Royal House has converted the former castle-cum-restaurant into a tourist affair.
Its located on the top of a small hill, with spectacular view all around.
Its better to go there on a clear day.
Its a small castle, but the restaurant is good, though one may find it expensive.

This city tower was first built in 1521 as the clock tower of the city church was rebuilt in 1461 after a fire in 1422. In 1844 the city church was torn down as it was in a bad state.
From 1676 until 1682 a floor was added to the tower and it got a baroque appearance. It has been renovated three times since.

Olten has this lovely old wooden bridge. When you walk from the railway station to the old town you can cross this bridge on foot.
It was first mentioned in 1295. Later is burnt down during several wars in the years 1375/1383/1653 and in 1798. On top of that it was been destroyed by high floods and ice in 1408/1480/1568 and 1651. Today's form dates back to 1803.

World's first Securities Musuem opened in May (or June??) 2003 in Olten. It is situated inside the SIS (Sega Intersettle) building.
