Oron-la-ville Things to Do

  • Take a walk

Don't just look at the main square but take a walk and discover this beautiful fountain and pretty buildings. Also it's a not very long walk uphill to the castle. There are various official walking paths in the surrounding areas too. Once I saw a fox.

Oron-la-ville Transportation

  • By bus

If you travel by public transport then the bus is the best option. There are buses from Palézieux and Romont and a few other more local lines. The bus journey from Oron to Romont is actually rather scenic taking you through villages (one with a castle) and you have a good view to the alps as well.

Favorite thing: On the wall of Hôtel de Ville (opposite the post office) there is a map on the wall. And on the main square Le Bourg there are public toilets. The Palézieux-Romont bus actually stops in front of the toilets and not near the timetable, so beware!
