The full price return ticket between Rheinfelden and Zürich costs 44 CHF. Where as the full price one way ticket is 22 CHF. The journey takes about 1 hour. There are direct train connections available.
A few full price return journey train fares from Stein am Rhein are following:
1. To Geneva: (3h 18min) 140/- CHF
2. To Bern: (1h 39min) 74/- CHF
3. To Lugano: (3h 42min) 123/- CHF
4. To Basel: (12min) 11.6/- CHF (Several Trains)
