Favorite thing: While sitting along the river enjoying the view, a swan decided to join us. It tolerated us as we took a few pictures. A bit later, we saw another swan with some cygnets (babies ) in tow. We took some photos, but kept our distance. Mamma swans are not known for their sweet disposition.

We were on our way back to the parking area passing the riverside, I saw this beautiful sunset....I can't resist leaving Stein Am Rhein without my last camera strike of the sunset.
Fondest memory: Beautiful sunset view on the river.
You can't see the river from the photo but If you have been to this place..you will surely know about this area.
The bench in the photo is facing the Rhein river ( Germany's most popular and major river ) and opposite the side is Switzerland, Stein Am Rhein....many hotels and retaurants around the area.
Favorite thing: Since Stein Am Rhein is within the Rhein river.....you can also visit this place with a boat from the nearby place within the Bodensee or rather called "Lake Constance". I believe you can also cross the river going to some german village, there is a regular boat ride to CONSTANCE of Germany and back to Stein Am Rhein.
I love the way the old town has been preserved so well and it is not too tacky; although I can imagine it can be overrun with bus tours during the summer!
Fondest memory: was not there long enough!
Favorite thing: Follow this link if you want to see more pics of Stein am Rhein : Give me more of Stein am Rhein...
Favorite thing: This was the first thing I have notice when we arrive to the town. A passage through the town center, It's a clock tower by the town.
Favorite thing: This was my first glimpse of the town upon entering the village town on our way from Arenenberg. I had taken this pic from the car while passing the bridge.
