Central church of Zurich is the most famous for sure, with its gothic style and the beautiful two towers, I saw a similar church when I was in Luxembourg!well don't hesitate to go and enter, the enterior part is really lovely :-))

There are lots of beautiful churches in Zurich, they all deserves to be visited and admired by the tourist, this one is really special because you won't reach it easily, it is placed on a kind of high step, so you have to climb to reach it :-)))

Just like Bern, Zurich is counted to be the German side of Switzerland, where German language is the mostly to be heared besides French and Italian!there is a beautiful quality, the many towers in Zurich, like in Bern, but less effective!

Downtown is resuming the Old city of Zurich, it is the best part to visit, the rest could be a modern cartiers full of banks and companies, your cultural visit must always start from the old city of Zurich, very nice indeed!

The first thing to see and to do once you get out form the famous railstation of Zurich is facing this wonderful adorable old historical monument, it is at your left, the direction of the old city is on the right, but it is closer to go first and have a look here...

South of Fribourg you find the Gruyere Valley,by which the Sarine Valley is passing. It is a very small town known both for its outstanding castle, whose lords lead the region over centuries. Outside the small town we visited the famous fromageries,Gruyere being famous for its excellent cheese.Att the fromagerie one can watch how cheese is produced and then stored under special conditions to become the much wanted high -quallty product.A cheese restaurant and bar is also there. The town has only one street, keeping medieval architecture, where restaurants and souvenir shops are in big numbers. This street leads to the perfectly preserved castle. The castle, formerly regional seat of the power, was occupied from 1080-1554 by the counts of Gruyeres.Afterwards it was destroyed by fire, but rebuilt.Artists in residence in this castle included famous landscape painter Corot. The entrance to the castle...
In Lucerne, you find at Lidostr.5,the Verkehrhaus(Swiss Museum of Transport and Communication),biggest museum of its kind in Europe. It keeps exhibits of all kinds of transport means(including planes, cosmic modules or mountain train cabins). The whole museum, with more than 3000 displays covering 20.000 sqm,is very interactive,an ideal site both for children and adults. The museum has also the first Imax cinema theater in Switzerland ,a reproduction in real size of the Gotthard tunnel(showing the hard work performed by the engineers and workers to build it. Everything that moves us,creates mobility by land, sea and air is exhibited here. The vast communication gallery(radio,tv studios,of course interactive and many more). But the real sensation was the room where on the floor it was put a huge aerial photograph of Switzerland,on a scale of 1:20.000 ,in fact a single image, but a composite view...
When going to Montreux, you shouldn't missvisiting Caux ,with its big palace located up the hill. From the site of this well preserved palace built in 1900-1902,you can enjoy a incomparable view of Vaud and Valais and on a bright day you can overlook the famous resorts of the French side of the Lemanic Riviera. This great palace, which first was a luxurious hotel frequented by writers, filmstars, and royalty, did close by the beginning of the 2ndworld war.It reopened by 1945 as a conference center and is nowadays a wellknown training center for hotel personnel. Therefore we met there lots of Japanese hotel personnel,on training. It deserves to drive by car by the winding roads up the hill,to have a splendid view of the whole region. From up there the whole Lemanic Riviera looks even more attractive and ..... romantic.
Our first stop in Switzerland after passing the northern border, crossing from Germany, was the Rhine Falls in the suburbs of Schaffhausen. William Wordsworth depicted in his sonnets the lasting impression made on him by these falls.,first record in documents dating back to the 10 th century. The water is coming with great speed, from a mere hight of 23 meters and impressive breadth. The gradual erosion of the rocks by the sprinkling water, contributes to the strange form of the rocks. You may look at these falls from different angles,by going around and discover the beauty of wild natureagain and again. Recommend to you to take the boat,to look at the cascade just near its storming waters, with a flow of 1250 m/sec.THe impressive breadth of the water of nearly 150 m,constitutes a unique experience.Or if you eventually feel unsure to embark on the boat(what shouldn't be,as its safety is...
