Geographically speaking, Switzerland is a tiny country, only one-tenth the size of California. But what it lacks in size, it makes up in Alpine grandeur and variety with its German, French, Italian and Romansh speaking cantons. Of course, while skiing is Switzerland is superb, as are the high quality chocolate and watches, Switzerland is also quaint Ticino villages, cosmopolitan Zurich, lakeside gems like Geneva, and nightlife in Lausanne. So hike Verbier, taste cheese in Gruyere, or bank in Zurich - there's plenty to keep you busy on a trip to Switzerland.
