Bakhchisarai Sphinxes - stone sculptures created by winds up to 20 meters - are located on the outskirts of Bakhchisarai on the right bank of the river Tchuruk-Su.
Here you can:
- Admire the outlines of the rocks,
- Try to climb onto one of them,
- Collect herbarium fragrant herbs of the Crimean,
- Enjoy the views on Bakhchisarai, which here is seen as the palm.
We tried all of the above, and it became one of the most vivid impressions from visiting the Crimea.

Eski Kermen - one of the famous cave cities of Crimea. 600 years ago the city belonged to the Byzantine principality of Theodoro, whose capital was located nearby in Mangup-Calais. Eski Kermen is located atop one of the mesas (flat-topped mountains), normal for this part of Crimea, and is famous for its more than 300 caves. Of course, the townspeople lived in normal houses built on the mountain. Caves were used as warehouses, guardhouses, etc. - and always - for churches.
In this place better to go with a guide, as the road is sometimes difficult (although Andrey was doing well). In addition, the city occupies a large area, and well, when someone knows the shortest and safe way to the sites.
Eski-Kerman is located 20 km from Bakhchisarai. Driving on the highway Simferopol - Sevastopol, village Krasnyi Mak. Then from the village 5 km on a dirt road .
