    I also got to Donetsk from Boryspil International Airport in Kiev by Yak-42 plane and enjoyed the flight very much!
    The planes depart from Terminal A in Boryspil.
    The plane was full (more than 70 seats).
    The prices vary from $100 to 200 and the flight time is one hour and twenty minutes.

    There is a direct train and a bus from Kiev to Donetsk arriving there in about 10 hours.
    Taxis are everywhere in the city, the fare is reasonable!
    We hired a taxi by hour and it was $10 an hour within city limits.

  • Those people, who came to Eastern Europe for the first time will be very frightened with the way of transportation around the city. The main thing is that the city is rather big and here lives nearly 1,5 millon of inhabitants, but it has too narrow streets and the buses are not just full of people - actually if you want to get anywhere by bus is a good way to try to feel yourself as a canned fish. Local authorities usually don't even want to know what the people really need. At the same time, taxi is rather cheap, and you can get anywhere using it.

    Take streetcar #2 from/to the railway station and enjoy the city sites from it.
