    Don't think that this is a touristy, home from home Irish Bar!

    I have never met anybody that works there who is from outside of Ukraine!

    The food is excellent, the entertainment is great, and the beer is perfect...

    ...but best of all the Bar Staff are first class!

    Casual.

    (I so wanted to put down cross-dressing and fetish gear only!)

  • 44 Kreschatyk is a great place if you love live music. In my first seven nights, I've been in twice. Each night there is a new band that runs the gamet from jazz to Russian rock and they're all good. The place has good food and the Nimeroff Honey Pepper Vodka is top stuff.

    For several years, this place remains one of the favourite among Kiev people and tourists. Shooters is not too cozy, very democtatic, and very friendly. There are no poeple evaluating you by your dress as it happends in some clubs. Besides, Shooters is a coplex with Limoncello restaurants (by the way, would like to say compliments to chef - very good kitchen), Shooters disco, and Garem lounge with lots of huge pillows and nice music.

    There are no particukukar dress code, but face control will meet you just at the entrance.

  • This is one of the newer clubs downtown Kiev and it usually draws a very hip crowd. I had no problem passing the face control aspect but some people in line were getting rejected, even though I thought they were good looking. By Kiev standards this is an expensive club, the entrance is anwyhere from $10-$20 but the club I would say is worth it. It has an intimate feel to it (even though it's 2 floors) and a total absence of professional women which is tough to find in Kiev.

    Music is anything from Techno/House to Pop.

    Dress your best if you want to get in.

    Very well located nice club based in general with latin music .
    Dont worry the people is tolerant and they will accept you even if you are not master in this
    area.Its very crowded specially in the weekends.Good music good shows and good drinks
    Try the Tequila boom after 5-6 you become the master of latin dances and salsa

  • Brand new place instead of the old MODABAR. After several changes in style and interier, Modabar was finally closed forever. But it did not disappear at all. Instead of it, in the same place we have a new concept of a club - radio hall. 5 fm radio stations have their days and play music in the club - everything from rock&roll, disco, reggie to R&B, techno, and hause. Check what day is better for you and ... have your style party!

    FACE CONTROL.
    If you want to get a sitting place for Friday or Saturday, it is advised to make reservation in advance.

    There is no written dress code, but you will not be allowed to enter in sneakers.

    Considered to be a new one in Kiev. It was opened somewhere in February-March 2006. Sochi is quite good place to start your party. You can get good cocktails, nice music, and quite comphortable atmosphere. Beides, if you are hungry, you can find good food here.

    It opened in the center of the city almost two years ago and became one of the hottest places on the map of Kiev's nightlife.
    it is probably the only one place in Kiev where real DISCO is played. Always crowded, lots of fun, lots of friends around.

  • Club44 has lots of live music, lots of jazz music. it is very popular with the young sophisticated university students of Kiev. A native friend of mine brought me here and i really enjoyed it. It is hard to get a seat so if you want one try and get their early if not you will have to dance, which wont be so hard coz the music is rather good.

    You can order your drinks either at the bar or by waiter service. With waiter service you will not get your bill until the end of the night.

    their seemed to be no restrictions with regard to dress code.

    Also the Kievpost can be picked up for free at this venue which is an english guide of whats going on in Kiev during that week.

  • This is a brand new club in Kiev that is beyond ultra trendy. While I do not have the exact address, I do recall it is almost directly across from a central Kiev Synagogue not far from the Besarabski Market in the center.

    This place is ultra expensive for Ukraine and even Kiev, the admission is $20 but in my opinion it is the best spot in the city. I would recommend getting there early as it does reach capacity on most nights. The place inside is very classy and draws the same kind of crowd.

    Also, I thought I would mention a humorous story that happened to me at this club and I think this type of thing is definately isolated to Ukraine and possibly some other former USSR republics. In no way should this be interpreted as sexist but heading into this club I had two friends with me from Odessa. Both were absolutely stunning girls that without exadurating (sp?) were good looking enough to be models in US. As we aproached the club the doorman politely told me that I am more than welcome to enter but my female companions will not be allowed. I begged and pleaded with him but it fell on deaf ears. Girls at this point were very dissapointed and obviously upset so they decided to head home, while I went inside and realized why such door policy exists. The place was flooded with gorgeous women every which way you looked, I actually for a moment though it was a model agency party but was assured that this type of night is typical for this spot. I always get a kick out of telling this story to my friends.

    Dress your absolute best if you want to get in.
