Great spot under a bridge where cool parties are organized.
I was there at a Schranz (hardtechno) party with Jan Fleck and Acid Flux, the they before there was a Drum 'n Bass party with Eye-D & Hidden, and the next week there would be a party with Ophidian.
Great atmosphere, very cool people, and really awesome to find something like this in Kiev :D

Barsky is the worst club in Kiev. We were there yersterday with my husband, and I didn't like it at all. It started with the security check, when young man told us that we could come in, just because they dont have face control today!!!!!Sounds like we are unable to get there with the face control. Its very offencive because I'm a model and was working in a lot of places around the world. Second of all the bartender was so snobby like he is the President of Ukraine. We left him a 10% tip from our check and he trought our money in the carbage!!I was very dissapointed with there atmosphere and musik!!!!

If you want a nightclub with a little class you should consider the one in Hotel Premier Palace on 8th floor. They advertise with" more theater than striptease" but the night we were there it was the opposite. When staying in Hotel Rus(cheaper alternative than Premier Palace) You get a ticket with 50% discount on entrance fee to nightclub. The price will the be 100hryvna and that includes pickup at the hotel and delivery back to Hotel after.
Hotel Premier Palace is almost in city center.

Opened in November 2008, "Single Whisky Bar" is an excellent restaurant/bar with an impressive scotch selection. Try one of their dozens of scotches (ranging in price from 45 UAH to 500 UAH), including a very unique Japanese scotch - Nikka - and enjoy dinner at their attached restaurant. We found the bar quite posh, but did not eat at the restaurant, though if the decor was any indication, it was quite impressive.

I was denied entry at Shooters based on the color of my skin. I am Asian- American of Korean descent so the bouncer "face-controlled" me and I was denied access. This establishment is owned or run ( not 100% sure which) by a Scottish guy believe it or not, but apparently the Ukrainian bouncers failed to hear the news...that the 60's are over now. Either that or it gives him special pleasure to have for that one instant that feeling of power to deny Asian's into this club. So if you are a person of any other color than white, don't waste your time here. I wasn't the only one who was denied entry apparently, couple nights before a Japanese guy was also denied entry. Funny thing is I have been traveling for over two and a half months and this is the first time it's happened to me. I'd understand if this was still 1985, but hell, it's 2008 now. I'd also understand if it was in a small desolate city or town, but this is Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. Hell I wasn't denied in clubs in Lvov or Odessa, which would have made more sense. I wasn't even angry when it happened, just a little annoyed, but hey my advise is to spend your money at other establishments who prefer the color of money to the color of your skin. Happy Travels.
Dress Code: Dress semi-casual, black/dark shoes...unless you are a person with different skin color than white...then it doesn't matter if you wear a tuxedo, you still won't be allowed entrance

Best latino night club in Kiev. highly popular with the locals and foreigners.
Flirt factor extremely high and the place is crowded on weekends. Fri, Sat tables should be booked ahead.
Live latino music band and dancing show on weekends. Wednesday-ladies' night and strip show (male/female).
Monday, Wednesday, Sunday 18:30 latino dance school.
Entrance fee varies on the day.
Dress Code: dress code for this venue only means looking cool and sexy. Preferrably no sneakers though i wouldn't say they really care.
don't dress to much cos the place can be hot :)

Consider having an outing to Independence Square and Khreshchatyk - the central street at about 8 or 9 p.m.
You can watch the latest news on the huge TV screen located not far from the Independence Column and drop in at the "Globe" Trade Center under the square where you can either go shopping or just have a bite at one of its numerous cafes or restaurants.
Dress Code: usual, nothing special

Forget Decadence, forget Tsar-Project... the hottest place in town in Barsky (as of winter 07/08 at least) - located in Arena Complex... right next to the Porsche Dealership.
As I arrived at the door, a guy with group of 6 women just got told the club was closed due to private party; read "face control... get lost".
On my way up to the 7th floor I felt the bass & the kick beating so hard that I realized I was going to have a good time. Gentlemen... this place is really really awesome - imagine 300m2 loft with D&G style furniture filled up with gorgeous women. When I say gorgeous, I mean it... 95% of the girls could be in ELLE magazine if not on the cover. The music was 100% house distilled by a super skilled DJ.
There is no cover but I understood pretty fast why: $12 a drink... $200 a bottle of Veuve or Jack Daniels... trust me your credit card will heat up pretty fast.
Barsky will make any western club experience like a tasteless souvenir (except Cannes nights during the festival)
Dress Code: The rule is simple... if you look like Brad Pitt, you can wear sneakers and ripped-off jeans... otherwise a custom made suits helps.

I arrived in the place a little early (11PM) and it was so empty that I hesitated to leave... after a couple of drinks I noticed that the place filled in and I found myself surrounded with young, somehow fashionable crowd. The music was very good - if you like house music - and the gogo dancers quite skilled.
Overall, this place will please all house amateurs, in a edgy yet sober deco... not the hippest crowd but still good enough to enjoy a low key night
Dress Code: Limited face control... jean, shirt... no sneakers

Hi,
If you are out and about in Kiev watch out for this girl as she will steal from you as soon as look at you.
She says her name is Natalya and claims to live in Moscow but goes to Kiev for long periods of time to visit her mother. She says she is 23 and she clearly likes to enjoy the bright lights of Kiev. Among the list of places that she likes to visit is Shooters bar.
She isn't a whore in the conventional sense. She makes it clear that she is only interested in men who can spend a lot of money to keep her in the good life without her having to work. She is free and easy with her sexual favours to guys who fit the bill on throwing their cash around.
Watch out though. The day after a night of lust she is likely to pull a stunt like this; ask to borrow your cell phone, say she is popping outside to use it because it's too noisy in the cafe / shop / restaurant or wherever you may be and then lo and behold she will be gone. Ring your phone number to speak with her and she will tell you that you can only have the phone back in return for a sum of money.
This is speaking from experience with her.
