The Independency Colums in Kiev is 50 meter tall, topped with the 12 meter high statue of Archangel Mikhail. The column is made of light composition stone and the statue is made of bronze. It was unveiled to mark ten years of independence. The location is of course in the Independence Square.

Perched in golden glory at the top of the column is the Archangel Mikhail.
He is the patron saint of Kiev.
