Kobzar art

In the city centre, in the house of 1903 there is a museum of kobzar arts. The museum has opened in 1984 in days of celebrating of 175-th anniversary from the date of a birth ingenious Kobzar of Ukrainian people Taras Shevchenko. Pereyaslav as one of the oldest cities of Ukraine and one of the centers of formation of the Ukrainian nation, promoted development of truly national national art - kobzar art . Museum contains portraits of well-known kobzars of Ukraine, musical instruments books and life goods.

Pereyaslav-Khmelnitskiy is a city in the Kiev area of Ukraine with the population more than 30 thousand inhabitants, an administrative centre of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitskiy area. The is located on the coast of the river Trubezh-the left inflow of Dnepr. The name of city means " has adopted glory ". Prince Vladimir Svjatoslavich has put in pawn here a greater fortress for protection of southern boundaries of Russia against steppe nomads. Sometimes assume, that some time in Pereyaslavl there was a residence of Russian metropolitans while in Kiev the Sofia cathedral has not been constructed. From middle X of a century the city was capital Perejaslavskogo of a princedom which played the major role in protection of Russia from pechenegs, In 1239 Pereyaslavl has been destroyed by Tatars.
