Nation of songs

Ukrainians have not only melodical language, but they possess great voices, and they really like to sing. Whether it is private party of relatives, or party of people who see each other first time, noone will be shy to sing old Ukrainians songs which came from ancient times and were given from one mouth to another. Some families have books of songs and their favorite songs, which they can't miss after good glass of gorilka.P.S. Gorilka is vodka on Russian... I suggest to try... it is not so bad. Maybe you will get some skills to sing :-)

From old times Ukrainian men wore "sharovary" and "vyshivanku". Sharovary is very wide pants of red or blue color as a rule. It looks like pants of Turkish people and Tatar. It allowed to move, ride, run easily. For students it was great place to hide things they stole on markets. Vyshivanka is shirt with embroidered pictures on it. It is really beautiful and you can see vyshivankas in many places in Ukraine among souvenirs. Just be prepared to pay good sum for them.Ukrainian men as a rule kozaki (military men) wore the "oseledec" or "chupryna". A very special and unusual theatre in Kyiv - the capital of the Ukraine. The «RADUGA» Ukrainian Charity Fund represents now some information about this theatre in brief. The «RADUGA» professional theatre was established in 1969. The special feature of the theatre is its cast, which consists only of stone-deaf artistes. They do not hear music or any sounds surrounding us at all. But their professionalism and hrodigy helps them to create characters with great and deep emotions on the stage. State Music And Drama Theatre "Romance"

It has the name of Kyiv Roma theatre "Romance" untill 1996. Then it got the status of State theatre. Founder of the theatre is O. Êrykunov. The idea of renaissance of national Roma culture and spreading the art of Roma imbodied with appearance of the theatre. Performances are played in Russian. L.Volshaninova, V.Fedorets, V.Shkliar, Î.Beresneva, Y.Gayosh, L.Lymanska were in the beginning of the theatre. Repertoire : "The song, that you love", (1994, dir. The XX-th century Ukrainian theatrical art development, the art of musical comedy in particular, is closely linked with Kyiv Operetta Theatre. The artistic establishment has this title from 1966. As for its real history, it dates back to 1905 when a house constructed at the expense of Ukrainina Maecenases, leased M. Sadovsky to found here the First Ukrainian Stationary Theatre. The "Ukraina" Palace

The concert programs, as in the kaleidoscope, change one another in the "Ukraina" Palace, the biggest one in the country. The building with the hall seating 3780 and the stage accommodating up to 1500 performers was built in 1970. Thanks to the newest equipment and design it boasts favourable conditions for rest.
