Amber is called a café bar. We went there to have dinner and enjoyed their company dish: Amber salad: inexpensive, delicious and nice.

City Day
has been observed in Alchevsk since 1983 on every second Sunday in September, just like in Luhansk.
In Luhansk it has been observed since 1980.
The City Day program in Alchevsk is as diverse as in Luhansk:
- different concerts with variety stars and bands from Kiev and other big cities,
- traveling circus performances,
- shows,
- sports competitions and tournaments.
Outstanding residents of the city are awarded with the city merit medal For great services to Alchevsk

This is the web site of the local soccer team that has been quite successful in the Ukrainian soccer championships. The team is called “Stahl” (“Steel”).
Equipment: The City Day observed on the second weekend of September coincides with Physical Culture and Sports Day.
On that weekend and practically the entire month of September there are city chess tournaments, tennis tournaments and open championship in sailing sports.

Favorite thing: The coat-of-arms represents a French shield divided horizontally into two parts : sky blue and yellow (the colors of our national flag).
The shield represents a golden scoop with silver metal pouring into the golden support.
You can see two crossed pokers behind the shield and the date written on the ribbon with the colors of the Ukrainian national flag: 1896The inscription over the shield is in Russian: Alchevsk
