Many side streets are not asphalted and many sidewalks contain big pot-holes, which makes walking along the sidewalks or driving along the earth roads a terrible ordeal in rainy weather.
Be careful when you walk, even along the main street - Rostov Street.
The sidewalk is practically absent in many places and I had to leave it and walk along the road to reach the bus terminal.
Our mud is often more slippery than ice. And, of course, falling onto the muddy sidewalk is much less enjoyable than falling onto the ice.
Forewarned is forearmed.
