The war memorial is at the first bus stop in Grassimovka.
It is located in the center of the village opposite the store and the school.
The memorial is dedicated to all soldiers and officers who fell in the battles for the liberation of their Motherland.
Enjoy a bird's eye view of the vicinity from the steep hill located next to the main road in Gerassimovka.
It towers above the vicinity and provides good views.
There is only one drawback here: nobody is looking forward to meeting Ukrainian frontier guards there...
The church is the first thing I visited in this village.
It is located not far from the end bus stop of Luhansk bus and is very well seen from the main road.
The church is called Trinity Church.
I enjoyed the views of the hill from there.
The bus to Gerassimovka departs from Bus Station No.2 located in Kirov Street in Luhansk near the old railway station. We call it simply AC-2.
There is a bus at 9.20 a.m. and at 1.30 p.m.
On weekends there is an additional bus at 5 p.m.
The bus fare is less than $2 and the travel time is about an hour and a half.
The bus makes three stops in Gerassimovka: near the war memorial, near the store and in the last street before the Russian border.
You really have to have some kind of transportation, at least a bike, to be able to visit your friends living in that village.
A 4[4 would be a good idea.
It’s too far to walk from one end of the village to another.
The roads can be hasty indeed.
A flashlight is a must for a visitor for the majority of roads are not lit at all.
