    Pernik: Exploring Downtown Cafes

by hunterV Updated Apr 13, 2008

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Why not exlpore some of the cafes and restaurants in Sovietskaya and Oboronnaya Streets.
Those places are usually pretty full of people, they also have summer terraces.
The only drawback is it is allowed to smoke there, if you decide to sit inside, which can become simply unbearable.
Here are some names of the cafes in Sovietskaya Street between the central crossing and Heroes Square:
"Ultra", "Matrix" night club, "Prolissok", "Alcuba".

    Egoist: Easternmost Night Club

by hunterV Updated Apr 6, 2008

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This night club located in the far east of Luhansk in Dzerzhinsky Block must cause a lot of trouble to the residents of the block because of its loud music...
There is a bar, a sauna, you can also play billiards there.
The entrance fee is $5, but the music inside is rather loud.
I also thought there were more people sitting than dancing there...

    Plazma: Vatutin Block

by hunterV Updated Jun 18, 2007

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

I enjoyed my stay at this new night club best of all: the music was mild so to say, not too loud for talking and always different. Only one hit was repeated once.
I had good luck luck for when my friend Mathias (goldmann on VT) and I came there, there was a corporate party there and the club was full of people. I don't know if it is the same story every day, but the interior and the service are excellent I would say.
If you are tired of dancing, you can sit in the bar and talk to your friends.
There is also a sauna like in many other night clubs and billiards located in the bistro outside. You can play Russian billiards for free if you have your meals at the bistro.

This is one of the places in the main street that is open round the clock and offers you drinks along with a good menu.
I wouldn't say the dishes are very cheap there, but where else can you can have a hot sandwich at 5 a.m.? Nowhere in the city, only here.
The bartender and the waitresses are very friendly and the customers are all young men and ladies, very cheerful and merry.
It's also a nice place to meet young people.

    Armageddon: West End Nightclubs

by johnthemighty Written Dec 20, 2005

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

This fancy nightclub is located in the "sleeping districts" on the western outskirts of Luhansk inside Zarechny Block.
The design is neat and special too. It reminds you of an old fancy half destroyed cellar.
The music is loud enough and the menu is also rich. My friend and I stayed there till the early hours of the morning. I saw people of different ages there and relaxed enjoying the dance program with my friend. So this nightclub unlike all others, although dominated by young people, still makes people of my age feel at ease.
My tip for foreign visitors just in case: turn to a security guard there and ask him in simple English to keep an eye on you to avoid all unpleasant situations and offer him a tip of $5. Then relax and enjoy the party!
