This small cafe with a veranda on the roof is located downtown in Lermontov Street not far from Sovietskaya Street and the City Council building.
It is a rather attractive building with a small hall and a veranda above.
You can order some Mexican dishes and have Mexican drinks there.
I don't know if the cuisine if indeed Mexican, but it is quite different from what we are used to. So it's a good idea to come here for a change! This cafe has also live music (very loud) in the evenings (included into the bill) and a VIP hall for banquets. When the musicians make a pause, there is a very loud CD music. You can talk, though. Besides, there is a small dancing floor on the ground floor at the bar where young people often go and dance after a good meal or drink.
If you cannot read the menu in Russian, never mind: the waitress can take you directly to the kitchen and you can order dishes from the Gergian cuisine by seeing them. Seeing is believing, you know.

There is a bar on the ground floor and and restaurant on the first floor.
The atmosphere is quite nice and you can try the local cuisine and order some Ukrainian national dishes: varenyky, borshch, pelmeni, etc.

This small hunter/fisherman themed cafe located downtown has a rich and humorously written menu in Russian (no English variant for the present).
The inner hall has the decor is for hunters and their friends... It's Hunter's Hall. It's also a non-smokers' hall.
The first hall as you enter is called Fisherman's Hall.
It is designed to look like the bottom of a river. All the decor intensifies the feeling.
You can just sit and have beer or order some nice dishes from the menu.
The waiters dressed like hunters will bring you your order in no time.

You can eat just like locals here: the dishes that the local housewives cook for the entire family!
The majority of the dishes here belong to the Ukrainian and Russian cuisine.
This is a very popular self-service cafeteria where you can order what you see, beginning with the first course.
The dishes will be heated in a microwave oven for you.

Since it is located in a basement of a four-level apartment house, it has no windows at all (in this respect it is a unique place I would say), so you can relax and feel a bit isolated from the hustle and bustle of streets.
It looks rather quiet and comfortable.
In the evenings it offers a variety show and live music.
They have no draft beer, only bottled Slavutich - Ukrainian first-class beer from Zaporizhya.

This small two-level cafe is located at Babylon bowling club in Shevchenko Street. Turn left after you enter Babylon.
The cafe offers a lot of dishes of the Ukrainian cuisine, especially lots of sorts of local sausage that is produced in the same building, in the basement.
The menu is in the form of a "Communist" newspaper, only in English, and is full of Ukrainian dishes.
They also have good draft beer Slavutich that became my favorite one.
The cafe is often full house, especially on weekends, so it is always better to reserve the seats.

We went there to have some beer during our "bar crawl" one night.
The cafe has very loud live music, about a dozen of tables that are usually occupied on weekends. They have a yard with tables, a fountain and live music where you can sit comfortably in warm weather.
In the afternoon you can sit quietly there.
Unfortunately there was no draft beer there for the majority of the locals seem to prefer bottled beet that is poured into your mug in your presence when you order it. "The First City Cafe" - this is what the inscription under the cafe name says.
I thought it was rather original and interesting. Of course, it attracts diners.
No other cafe in the city took that name.
This small cafe is located in Zhukov Block in the East End of Luhansk opposite the East-Ukrainian National University.
You will recognize it by its vanilla image at the entrance sidn.
This is a typical local people's restaurant. It occupies a former apartment and is very cozy and nice, makes you feel at home.
You can have full menu here: various meat and fish dishes and cakes.
