This new restaurant located in the Old Town offers a lot of delicious salads of the Ukrainian and European cuisine.
The restaurant has two halls: the first hall for smokers and, passing it, you find yourself in a non-smokers hall. I know it's not very pleasant for smokers having to pass a smokers hall in order to sit in the non-smokers hall.
We, our former high school students, some of my colleagues and I, celebrated our Reunion here.
We were invited by our former students who celebrated their tenth graduation anniversary.
We were offered lots of different salads and the main course.
They also served us "Khortytsia" VIP vodka.
There is live music in the evening, but the dancing floor is too small: perhaps for two couples. But if you ask the waiters to remober a vacant table near the live musicians, there will more dancing space.
The owners tried to create French surroundings with local attitude here. I think they managed to convey their idea: love and meals go together.

There was Ultra cafe at what is now a Chinese cafe.
The old musuc style cafe was turned into a Chinese cafe.
This cafe-bar is mainly visited by the young people.
They also have a banquet room upstairs and another room with live music where you could arrange a disco evening. They have four tables in the disco room that could be easily removed if need be.
The interior of the cafe is very nice.
The waitresses are affable and polite and it was a pleasure to have dinner there.
There were not many people when we were there.
Have a look yourself when you are in Luhansk!
Favorite Dish: The menu is very diverse and you can order almost any dish you want.

We also enjoyed dining at "Lux" cafe in Shelkovoy Street (on the way from Oboronnaya Street to the Central market). They have three halls, not very lous music and not very many smokers there.
Chateau de Fleur is another new destination for coffee lovers and for those who appreciate a nice place for relaxation downtown. It is located in Kotelnikov Street opposite Young Guards Park and Bravo Pizzeria.

Luhansk can boast of more than 150 cafes, bars, restaurants and cafeterias.
I have already dined at a hundred of the city's restaurants, bars and cafes. You will recognize a restaurant when you see the Russian name at the entrance: ~~~~ PECTOPAH ~~~~ I usually go there as an interpreter or a city guide with foreign visitors or with my foreign friends who come to Luhansk.
My family and I never go to any restaurants (except for a couple of cafeterias to have some ice cream), it is just not our habit. We do not belong to the upper class families and are happy with what we can cook for a family meal.
Smachna Khata is one of the central and one of the UKrainian national restaurants of the city having local cuisine.
The restaurant has a very quiet atmosphere and a wide choice of dishes.
Favorite Dish: Enjoy the nice atmosphere, take a look at the small fountain where people throw coins (as a sign of coming back there), enjoy the good kitchen with lots of different dishes to your taste, nice music not interfering with your talk at the table, not too much smoke.

This new restaurant is a part of Druzhba hotel complex.
Our Korean partners stayed at that hotel and one day we had breakfast at this restaurant together.
I liked the decor and the service. I don't know how English the decor is, but it looks quite impressive and solid.
This restaurant would be a nice place to receive travelers from Cardiff, the twin city of Luhansk.

This is a new restaurant dedicated in late June 2005.
It belongs to the network of seven road restaurants called Hunter.
The restaurant has one big hall and a large summer terrace, two separate small houses with one table for private banquets.
We sat once at the terrace and for the second time in one of the huts. The hut looks unattractive, but very richly decorated inside. If you would like to have dinner in one of those hunter houses, better reserve it beforehand.
Favorite Dish: The menu includes lots of Ukrainian national dishes such as varenyky, garlic dishes, salads, etc.

The cafe has a nice interior, more than a dozen of tables styled in a Japanese style with elements of traditional Japanese decor.
You can either drink coffee or beer or order some meal.
My VT friend Simon and I went there to have some beer and enjoyed the ambience very much.
I liked the atmosphere for there were no smokers there!
That is what I call healthy way cafe!
I enjoyed our business banquet where I was present as an interpreter.
We managed to try lots of dishes there.
I was very careful about the sauces there...

This is a nice new restaurant built in "Georgian style" downtown offering all kinds of food including open fire fish and meat dishes, among them the fanous shish kebab.
The restaurant has lavish Georgian style design, good atmosphere, a separate banquet hall and table in the street outside, a TV and a huge home video with Ukrainian MTV music.
It's a good place to sit and have some beer.
Ordering food means having paying for an expensive feast here.
The Georgian wines are very expensive too (around $70 a bottle).

This pub located in the eastern blocks of the city offers you only drinks: from tea and coffee to beer and vodka.
You can only have drinks and sit at the terrace enjoying the view of Vostochny Block and the crossing.
The bar has a large ground, you can order drinks at the bar.
It is open from 8 a.m. till 11 p.m.

I enjoyed my tea here, the restaurant's high-end décor.
I liked the decor of separate tables full of different themed artefacts.
You can come here for a drink , for a snack or to have full and lavish dinner.
The atmosphere is nice and quiet in any time of the day.
There is a motorbike where you can have a picture of yourself taken after you have eaten.

Luhansk in the summer is a wonderous place. I enjoyed the parks and the cafes very much! Lugansk is full of friendly people, If you try and learn their language, they seem happy to help.
