This small cafe with a veranda on the roof is located downtown in Lermontov Street not far from Sovietskaya Street and the City Council building.
It is a rather attractive building with a small hall and a veranda above.
You can order some Mexican dishes and have Mexican drinks there.
I don't know if the cuisine if indeed Mexican, but it is quite different from what we are used to. So it's a good idea to come here for a change!
This new restaurant has a very special name and is located in the West End of Luhansk in Mirny Block, about 20 minute drive from Heroes Square.
There is a bar on the ground floor and and restaurant on the first floor.
The atmosphere is quite nice and you can try the local cuisine and order some Ukrainian national dishes: varenyky, borshch, pelmeni, etc.

This small two-hall restaurant is located in the second main street.
You can either sit inside an old private house reconstructed for a cafe or at the tables outside in warm weather.
They offer different dishes of the Caucasian cuisine such as khachapuri (Georgian bread), lyulya kebab (grilled meat), shashlyk (shish kebab), etc.
You can sit and have some beer and relax.
It's a good place for a small company.

I thought it was rather original and interesting to have a graduation party at this Old Town restaurant.

This restaurant is located in what was named St.Petersburg Street before 1921.

This is a typical local people's restaurant. It occupies a former apartment and is very cozy and nice, makes you feel at home.
The DJ was great, too.

This restaurant is located on the first floor of a four-story apartment house, in the premises of the former household goods store that was turned into Texas Saloon in 2000 and existed as a funny Texa restaurant for ten years. Its premises now belong to Crystal Restaurant.
It looks rather quiet and comfortable.
In the evenings it offers a variety show and live music.
They have draft beer, Slavutich - Ukrainian first-class beer from Zaporizhya.

If you want to have lunch being somewhere downtown, you cab hardly find a better place.
You can eat just like locals here: the dishes that the local housewives cook for the entire family!
The majority of the dishes here belong to the Ukrainian and Russian cuisine.
My friend and I have often dropped in at this restaurant end enjoyed our lunch there.
This restaurant is a part of the All-Ukrainian network of restaurants with such a name. It's the 14th restaurant of the network.

This is a wonderful restaurant located in the Old Town just opposite Ukraine hotel (that is practically no hotel any more) in Pushkin Street.
The interior reminds you again of the sea. There are nice wooden tables and chairs, they also have live music in the evenings.
They serve different dishes of the Ukrainian cuisine and six beer sorts from the town of Kreminne, Luhansk region - our Lake District.
There are three sorts of light beer and three sorts of dark beer. In fact, they call this restaurant a beer restaurant.
There is one family table at the elevated place that looks like a small stage where you can sit comfortably behind the fishermen's net and enjoy your company, beer and meal.
They also have a big banquet hall.

You will see such beer tents all over the city, especially at the end stops of buses.
This one is at 50 Years of October Block in the East End of Luhansk.
You can order Luhansk beer, nuts, pistashios and anchovies to it.
They also have substantial meals there that can be heated for you.
It is nice to sit at the benches standing on the asphalt and to drink beer inside the tent observing people.
These are perhaps the only places where you can taste Luhansk beer. It is somehow not served at any of the city restaurants...
I don't think our local beer is any worse than those famous well-advertized sorts.

This small pub is on your way to May Day Park to your right, right at the railway line to Moscow.
You can sit five or seven meters away from the railway line and it is already an experience.
They have open fire to grill some meat or fish for you and you can order some Ukrainian dishes.
They also have the best beer from Luhansk, very cheap (4 UAH a pint) and cold.
I went there with my friends and we had a good time there on our way to the Zoo in May Day Park.

This cafe is located in the building of Dormitory #5 on the teacher-training university campus.
The cafe is very small - only five or six tables (see the picture), the menu is in Russian, like in many other cafes.
You can order different meat and fish dishes there, but the prices are rather high.
The customer usually come there for a drink, as far as I have observed.
Favorite Dish: Kiev cutlet
This small hunter/fisherman themed cafe located downtown has a rich and humorously written menu in Russian (no English variant for the present).
The inner hall has the decor is for hunters and their friends... It's Hunter's Hall. It's also a non-smokers' hall.
The first hall as you enter is called Fisherman's Hall.
It is designed to look like the bottom of a river. All the decor intensifies the feeling.
You can just sit and have beer or order some nice dishes from the menu.
The waiters dressed like hunters will bring you your order in no time.
Favorite Dish: hunter's sausage, grilled meat, etc.
This cafe is one of the three cafes and snack bar at the Eastern market of Luhansk.
There are a lot of tables and you can enjoy the lively relaxed atmosphere here.
In the evenings there is live music and entrance fee of 10 UAH.
There are also seven separate "cabins" - tables - where your minimal order should be 100 UAH for the table. And then you can truly enjoy the surrounding atmosphere.
They have no special "company dish", but you can order some famous dishes of the Ukrainian cuisine here.
As I have noticed, the majority of the customers only order drinks there...
The cafe is called after the famous Russian song Kalinka.

This cafe is perhaps the only one where you will be served with the local beer: "Munich" beer from Luhansk brewery. It is bitter and darker than "Obolon" or "Sarmat".
