If you want to see our fans and hear how they support their team Zarya, come to any soccer match when our local team plays with other teams of the Premier League.
I remember attending a soccer match with my VT friend Michael when our team won a match. It was great to see the match! This is also a good place to meet your old friends and to hear and learn some of the versatile local dialect and phrases people use when they are happy or not...

The city soccer team Zarya (Dawn) used to play in the first league. Due to a new composition of the team: only two guys are local, all the rest are legionaires, our city team won the last championship in the first league and entered the highest league. Now it plays better with the legionaires.
Its task now is to remain in the highest league where it still occupies the 14th or the 15th place out of 18.
It's no joke to play with such titans of soccer as "Shaktar" Donetsk, "Dnipro", "Dinamo" Kiev, and others.
The team won every fifth match, played a draw in every third match and lost more than 10 scores before.
I remember when Zarya played with Carpathians-2 in early June 2004, there were 11,000 spectators at the local stadium. You should have seen and heard them cheer and support their local team then!
The entrance tickets to the Vanguard stadium to a soccer match costs 5 UAH ($1).
