    Tap Water

by hunterV Updated Oct 25, 2008

Like in many towns and cities of Luhansk region and Ukraine, tap water is not for drinking, so avoid drinking it. It's kind of raw material to be processed before consuming...
Why not buy mineral water at any shop or from trucks delivering mineral water to the city blocks. The trucks deliver "Aquatoria" mineral water.
You can also get some water for free at the city well located at the end of Dzerzhinsky Street. The well can be seen from afar and recognized by a small chapel above it.

    Portholes Wherever You Go

A decent porthole not far from Heroes Square
    4 more images

Who on earth built this road right over these nice portholes? - this is what you would ask driving along the city roads like we did when we were in our "Ford" during our stay there.
Some portholes are pretty decent (that is, HUGE, BOTTOMLESS) and would leave no chance to your car, whether it is a VW or a BMW. Any car would turn into SM (scrape metal) here...
If it rains, forget that you own a car - take a bus or a grab a cab. At least the local drivers know every porthole by heart... Thank God the weather was not rainy when we drove our "Ford" in Rovenki...

    A Stroll in the Woods

by hunterV Updated Mar 14, 2010

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

    Poor woods...

Be careful when you have a stroll in the nearby woods.
Also, be prepared to see the woods in an aweful state: dirty and full of litter left by the local wild tourists, as we call those good-for-nothings who do not think about nature and have no pride of their native land...
