If your new friends, tipsy locals, happen to invite you for a stroll in the old city park, make sure they do not leave you there!
"A tipsy and lonely foreigner in the park? Well, that's too much! He should be taught a lesson!"
That's what local passers-by - especially "cool guys" - might think and hence their actions.
Do you need to be mugged?
Don't forget to take a torch and a mobile phone (to call a cab) with you. Although that would hardly be of any help.
There are a lot of dark alleys there...
I would think twice before taking a walk there alone...
This Stalin era park was built in 1933 by the young people of Rubizhne (as we were always told).
The park was neglected after 1991 and completely forgotten by both authorities and residents over the last twenty years...
I am sorry it is in such a decay now...
Unique Suggestions: Have a local accompany you and don't forget a flashlight for a safer walk.

The park is limited by Labor Square and Bohdan Khmelnitsky Street, Kirov Street and Liberators Street.
The park is an old neglected place, although there is a high-end cafe there: Caesar cafe near the old city fountain and the old staircase with two lions.
There are a lot of ruins for you to explore, if need be:
- the old fountain with four lions;
- the ruins of old pavilions and the old leisure center;
- the ruins of old fountains.

Take a look at my pictures of those paths in the old city park and tell me if you are ready to explore them by night... I wouldn't take a risk. Therefore I say it is much better to pay a visit there in the daytime...
