Slyanoserbsk is located 35 km from Luhansk and lies on the left bank of the Seversky Donets.
The town is located 15 km from the nearest railway station of Zimogorye.
You can get to Slavyanoserbsk by bus from Rembyttehnika (Household appliances repair factory) located next to the central market in Kotelnikov Street (next to the District Council of Lenin District).
The first bus from there departs at about 9 a.m. (Luhansk-Trekhizbenka).
If you want to get to Slavyanoserbsk earlier, you have to take another bus from the old railway station in Luhansk in Kirov Street. The bus leaves at 6.40 a.m. and will take you there in about half an hour.
The buses depart almost every hour till 7.20 p.m. from Luhansk. The fare is 6 UAH.
You can see the P-36 motorway Luhansk-Lissichansk on this picture. It will take you directly to Slavyanoserbsk. The bus drives till the first crossing (the one with a pin), then turns right and drives four kilometeres more.
The town itself is not far from the Seversky Donets. And it looks quite small, doesn't it?
The bus ride is just 3 UAH (60 cent).
Hiring a taxi might cost you 100 UAH both ways.
Don't forget to have a look at Political Commissar Memorial at the crossing. It is located after the crossing.
Slavyanoserbsk is located in the central part of Luhansk region about 20 miles to the northwest of Luhansk, 3 miles from the highway that is called Bakhmoot Road.
If you drive west from Luhansk and reach the crossing Luhansk-Lissichansk and Slavyanoserbsk-Alchevsk, turn right and drive three more miles along the winding road newly repaired.

You will see the two nine-storey apartment houses to your left and the town cathedral.
Get off at Kirov Street, if you go by bus, cross the road and turn left.
You will see the District Administration building to your right.
You can see this memorial when you take the right turn to Slavyanoserbsk.
